NOTE This guideline is only for postmount frames.
The protection tape that covers the area where the torque support arm touches the frame, is a wearing part. We recommend to inspect the condition of the tape periodically (every 1000 km minimum) for premature wear. Loosen the thru axle and move away the torque support from the frame to inspect the protection plate. If the protective layer has worn through (or is close to being worn through) swap the protection plate for one of the spares included in the torque support kit.
