Torque support arm compatibility

To insure proper operation of your Classified system, it is important that the correct torque arm is installed. When an incompatible torque arm is used it will result in play and creaking noise when the wheel is correctly installed in the bike.

1. Check your hub

There are two axle variants:

  1. Powershift hubs with a serial number up to 0009734 use a straight splined shaft (Axle on the left).
  2. Powershift hubs with a serial number above 0009734 use a stepped splined shaft (Axle on the right).

2. Check your torque support arm

There are three torque support arm variants:

  1. Straigh spline, no step (left): This is the oldest model and can only be used on Powershift units with the straight splined shaft.
  2. Stepped spline (middle): This is the updated model, and can be used on all Powershift units. You can recognise it by the machined bare aluminium ridge on the inside.

  3. Stepped spline, flanged (right): This is the current model and can be used on all Powershift units. You can recognise it by the flange added to the outside for improved protection of the bearings.
