Official Integration and Connectivity
Classified has introduced full integration of the Powershift Hub with Shimano Di2 groupsets through a firmware update that is available via the Classified Cycling smartphone app. This integration is part of the Shimano Connected Partners program, meaning it fully meets Shimano’s integration standards and works with a wide range of Di2 groupsets.
Once the Classified Smart Thru-Axle firmware has been updated through the Classified Cycling app, a Shimano Di2 derailleur can be paired to the Smart Thru-Axle. After pairing, the rider no longer needs a separate Classified shift button to control the Powershift system. Instead, the existing Di2 shifters are used to trigger gear changes in the Powershift Hub.
Supported Shimano Groupsets
The integration works with Shimano Di2 12-speed groupsets and 11-speed Di2 groupsets, provided that an additional Shimano D-Fly wireless unit (EW-WU111B) is installed for the 11-speed setup. This makes the Powershift hub compatible with a wide range of Shimano road and gravel electronic drivetrains.

New Shimano Compatible 12-Speed Cassette
We have introduced a new 12-speed 11–34 cassette specifically designed for use with Shimano drivetrains, including Di2 groupsets. This cassette is engineered for precision, durability, and optimal shifting performance. It features a hybrid steel–aluminium construction to balance weight and strength, and it delivers a gear range that works well in road and gravel applications.
This new cassette is fully compatible with both CD27 and CD33 Powershift hubs. (with the correct spacers and lockrings)
Setup Process
To connect a Shimano Di2 groupset with the Classified Powershift hub:
Update Firmware: Use the Classified app on your smartphone to ensure the Smart Thru-Axle is running the latest firmware.
Pair Through Classified App: Within the Classified app, pair your Shimano Di2 system to the Powershift hub via the Smart Thru-Axle. Follow the instructions in the app. Please note that the procedure is different if you were already using the Classified Cycling app with a Classified Handebar Unit.
Pairing SHIMANO Di2 with the Classified thru axle (video instructions)Configure Shift Buttons: After pairing, open Shimano’s E-TUBE app to assign shift button functions to the correct D-Fly channels (typically channels 3 and 4) for up- and down-shifts. The Di2 button configuration can be customized to suit rider preference.
Because the communication between Di2 and the Powershift hub is wireless and managed through software, no additional hardware or control buttons are required beyond what is already part of the Di2 system and the Classified Powershift Hub setup.
Please note that the Shimano Synchroshift functionality is not available for this integration.
Requirements
To use Shimano Di2 with Classified Powershift:
A Shimano Di2 groupset (11-speed or 12-speed).
Shimano D-Fly wireless unit for 11-speed Di2 systems.
The latest Shimano firmware and E-tube app
Latest version of the Classified app installed on a compatible iOS or Android device.
Firmware updated on the Powershift Smart Thru-Axle.
