Can I use my own wheels in combination with the Classified Powershift hub?

You can't use a standard wheelset in combination with a Powershift hub. To use a Classified Powershift hub, the rear wheel has to be laced around a Classified hubshell that can fit the Powershift hub.

There are a couple of options for Classified ready wheels.

  1. You can buy one of our Classified wheelsets. You can find an overview of all available wheelsets on the Classified website.
  2. You can buy a wheelset from one of our wheel partners. You can find an overview of our wheel partners on the Classified website.
  3. You can build a custom wheel around the Classified hubshell. You can buy a Classified compatible rim, or re-use the rim of your current wheel if it is Classified compatible.

The Classified hubshell requires specific drilling angles of the rim’s spoke holes for having the best possible wheel build. By not selecting a Classified compatible rim you will be voiding the warranty on the Classified hubshell as well as the rim. Please check the ‘Drilling Angle Section’ of the Building custom wheels guide to see if your rim is compatible with our hubshells.

You can use a front wheel of your choice, as there are no changes to the front wheel.
