Building custom wheels

Below you can find the necessary guides to build your custom wheels around the Classified Powershift hub and hubshell. Our hubshells are available in the following variants:

  • Straightpull for the 142mm Powershift Hub with 24 spokes
  • Straightpull for the 148mm Powershift Hub with 28 spokes
  • J-Bend for the 142 mm Powershift Hub with 28 spokes
  • J-Bend for the 142 mm Powershift Hub with 32 spokes
  • J-Bend for the 148 mm Powershift Hub with 32 spokes

1. Building custom wheels guide

Please read the 'Building custom wheels guide' carefully, in there you can find all the information you need, including, building requirements, rim and bike compatibility, building guidelines, technical drawings, assembly guidelines, and more.


2. Drilling angle calculation tool

  1. With this tool, you can check if your desired rim is compatible with one of our hubshells.
  2. Open the drilling angle calculation document and put in the height of your rim and your rim diameter. The tool will give you the ideal drilling angles.
  3. Contact the ri manufacturer to ask the drilling angles of your desired rim.
  4. The drilling angels of the rim can have a maximum deviation of 0.5° when compared to the ideal drilling angles.
