Notification on updated Classified cassette compatibility in combination with Shimano 12-speed group sets.

Classified 12-speed 11-32 and 11-34 cassettes.
3. Situation
Context reason
Based on new developments and continuous testing of shift performance of our cassettes in combination with different group sets, we regularly update our cassette compatibility chart.

In this service bulletin we would like to highlight the most important changes in the cassette compatibility chart.
1. Based on internal testing and validation we have found that using the chains listed below improved the shifting performance on Shimano 12-speed group sets:

General groupset setup: please follow manufacturers instruction for the related group set.

Chain length: Please refer to this chain sizing article as chain length may vary from the manufacturer's recommendation.
- Wrap your chain around the chainring and the largest sprocket
- Bypass the derailleur
- Shimano derailleurs: add 5 to 6 chain links (+ chain lock) to the overlap for correct sizing
- Shimano derailleurs: add 5 to 6 chain links (+ chain lock) to the overlap for correct sizing
- Use a chain tool to shorten the chain to the determined length. Ensure that the chain has the correct chain link or connecting Pin for the installation.
Remember that it’s always better to have a slightly longer chain than too short. You can always shorten it later if necessary.
