Pairing issues

When the connection between your handlebar unit/ ringshifter and you thru axle is lost, and the regular pairing instructions don't seem to work, please have a look at the instructions below.

  The handle bar unit and the thru axle run on different
versions of the firmware
Install the new firmware and pair again

Pairing instructions

Rigshifter looses pairing The ringshifter gets stuck in upward position. This clears pairing. Make sure the ringshifter is free to move back to the neutral position after a shift.
  • When installing the ringshifter, make sure to leave at least 4mm of free space on the left and right side of the shifter.
  • Make sure that there is no dirt stuck in the ringshifter. Regularly check and clean if necessary.
  Pairing still doesn't work Hard resest

For the handlebar unit & thru axle: Clear pairing by pressing the button for 25 seconds.

For the ringshifter – Clear bonds sequence:

  • First move the ringshifter upwards for at least 5 seconds and release it when the LED starts to blink green.
  • Then move the ringshifter upwards again for at least 25 seconds and release it when the LED starts to blink red.
  • The ringshifter has now cleared all its pairing & bonding information and has rebooted.

Pairing issues with Classified app The mobile app is unable to detect my handlebar unit that is still on legacy software, how to continue? Ensure the thru axle is added first to the mobile app and hereafter retry to add the handlebar unit.

It can be necessary to remove all devices from your Classified app.

  • Remove all your devices from the Classified app.
  • Close the app on your phobe.
  • Remove all Classified devices from your Bluetooth settings. You can recognise the Classified devices by their 'CC' marking in the device name.

Now try adding your devices to the app again. It is important to start with your thru axle before connecting your handlebar unit.
